Course Details

Ground Disturbance Level II® AB - vILT

Take our Ground Disturbance Level II class from the comfort of your own home or office! This is a Virtual Instructor-Led class - you will need a PC or laptop with video / audio capabilities and a stable internet connection. The course is delivered via Zoom and the final exam uses the Learner Verified software, you must have one piece of Government issued photo ID.


This one-day program is designed for any party that is supervising a Ground Disturbance, independently performing a Ground Disturbance, or issuing and receiving Ground Disturbance permits. The program ensures that Level II® personnel are familiar with, and fully understand, all the regulations and variances involved when a Ground Disturbance takes place. The course is presented in a logical sequence – from the pre-planning stage to the actual dig – and highlights the ‘musts’ compared to the ‘shoulds’. Level II® is the standardized program recognized by industry regulators. Certification is valid for 3 years. This course is assessed to the USP 201 Ground Disturbance Standard.

CANCELLATION POLICY: No-shows will be charged the full course fee. Full Course fee will be charged unless cancelled 5 business days prior to course. Certification of training will not be released until payment for the course has been submitted.


RESCHEDULING POLICY: Training will be rescheduled to another available class and must be taken place within 6 months. If the training has not taken place within 6 months of the original start date Global Training Centre will consider the class cancelled by you and all deposits, fees and remaining balance will be forfeited.


Global Training Centre is pleased to announce that the Ground Disturbance Level II® classroom course has been endorsed to the BCCGA Ground Disturbance 201 Standard (British Columbia), effective as of Aug. 21, 2019. It will be possible for a student to complete multiple jurisdiction training on the same day by completing a Ground Disturbance Level II® class with one addendum and then completing the required additional training for the second addendum afterwards. This would take 1-1.5 hours of additional instruction after the regular class for the Addendum, Exercise and Exam for the second jurisdiction. Alternatively, a student will be able to return at a later date and request the second jurisdiction as well. However, their second ticket will be valid only for the period of the original class. The BC Addendum add-on is an additional $41.00 ($39 plus $2 BCCGA Certification Fee) plus applicable taxes and fees.

Ground Disturbance Level II® Alberta Online (Add-on Certification)

NOTE: Learners are only qualified to take this add-on certification program if they have a currently valid Ground Disturbance Level II® - British Columbia or Ground Disturbance Level II® - Manitoba certificate through Danatec or Global Training Centre. Upon completion of this add-on certification program, you will receive a valid Utility Safety Partner endorsed training certificate, but it will expire on the same date as your initial B.C. or Manitoba certification as per Utility Safety Partner requirements. You will not be able to begin this training without a valid certificate from another provincial program. 

Ground Disturbance is for any party that is supervising a ground disturbance, independently performing a ground disturbance, or issuing and receiving ground disturbance permits.  

If you are taking this program, you have already completed Ground Disturbance Level I and Ground Disturbance Level II programs and will only need to complete the jurisdiction-specific module and final exam to obtain certification. NOTE: Learners are only qualified to take this add-on certification program if they have a currently valid Ground Disturbance Level II® - Alberta or Ground Disturbance Level II® - Manitoba certificate through Danatec or Global Training Centre. Upon completion of this add-on certification program, you will receive a valid BCCGA endorsed training certificate, but it will expire on the same date as your initial Alberta or Manitoba certification as per BCCGA requirements. You will not be able to begin this training without a valid certificate from another provincial program.
