Standard / Intermediate First Aid CPR

This comprehensive two-day program is designed to provide participants with the essential modules required for first aid certification. Our training concept goes beyond theory and workbooks, focusing on hands-on scenarios and practical applications. Through interactive exercises, participants will respond to mock situations with live injured people, creating an engaging and motivating learning environment. Our program stands out for its enthusiasm and emphasis on real-life experience.

Our course meets the rigorous standards set by CSA Z1210-17, ensuring that participants receive high-quality training that aligns with industry requirements. We cover a wide range of topics, preparing participants to handle various medical emergencies confidently.

Learning Objectives:

• Recognize and respond to life-threatening injuries promptly.
• Provide effective intervention until medical aid arrives.
• Demonstrate proper techniques for artificial respiration.
• Provide immediate assistance to a choking victim.
• Manage shock and unconsciousness in emergency situations.
• Administer first aid for severe bleeding.
• Apply appropriate techniques for head and spinal injuries.
• Effectively handle fractures of upper and lower limbs.
• Perform CPR on adult casualties using the latest guidelines.
• Demonstrate proper usage of an automated external defibrillator (AED).

Competencies:

To obtain certification, participants must demonstrate their knowledge through a written competency check with a minimum pass mark of 75%. Additionally, they must successfully perform the required province-specific practical skills. Our comprehensive assessment ensures that participants are equipped with the necessary skills to provide effective first aid in real-world situations.

CPR LEVEL C CAN BE ADDED ON TO ANY FIRST AID CLASS AT NO CHARGE (PLEASE LET THE INSTRUCTOR KNOW AT THE BEGINNING OF CLASS), OR YOU CAN UPGRADE TO CPR LEVEL C WITHIN 90 DAYS OF COMPLETING FIRST AID FOR AN ADDITIONAL $35.00 - PLEASE CALL 403-934-5046 TO REQUEST

CANCELLATION POLICY: No shows will be Charged the full course fee. Full Course fee will be charged unless cancelled 5 business days prior to course. Certification of training will not be released until payment for the course has been submitted. 

RESCHEDULING POLICY: Training will be rescheduled to another available class and must be taken place within 6 months. If the training has not taken place within 6 months of the original start date Global Training Centre will consider the class cancelled by you and all deposits, fees and remaining balance will be forfeited.
