Basic Confined Space Pre-Entry

This half-day theory-based program is part one of the confined space series. Throughout the training, learners will focus on identifying confined spaces, understanding workers' responsibilities, conducting thorough hazard assessments, and formulating effective plans for safe entry.

Learning Objectives:

• Upon completing the Basic Confined Space Pre-Entry safety training course, participants will be able to:
• Identify confined spaces and understand the potential hazards associated with them.
• Comprehend the responsibilities of workers involved in confined space entry.
• Conduct proper hazard assessments to ensure safe entry into confined spaces.
• Develop effective plans for safe entry, considering all necessary precautions.
• Demonstrate knowledge of testing or measuring the atmosphere within a confined space.
• Identify and mitigate physical hazards present in confined spaces.
• Properly utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) required for confined space entry.
• Understand the qualifications and responsibilities required for confined space entry.
• Comply with permit requirements and follow confined space legislation.

Competencies:

The Basic Confined Space Pre-Entry safety training course assesses participants' competencies through a comprehensive written exam. Achieving a minimum score of 70% on the exam is necessary to successfully complete the course and obtain the safety certification.

This certification, valid for three years, signifies the participant's demonstrated competence in meeting the objectives of the safety training course.

PPE REQUIRED TO ATTEND THIS CLASS: None

CANCELLATION POLICY: No shows will be Charged the full course fee. Full Course fee will be charged unless cancelled 5 business days prior to course. Certification of training will not be released until payment for the course has been submitted. 

RESCHEDULING POLICY: Training will be rescheduled to another available class and must be taken place within 6 months. If the training has not taken place within 6 months of the original start date Global Training Centre will consider the class cancelled by you and all deposits, fees and remaining balance will be forfeited.
