Basic Confined Space Pre-Entry Online

This 3-4 hour online theory based program can be used as a standalone knowledge course or as a pre-requisite for our blended confined space option. Participants in this course will receive the necessary knowledge to identify confined spaces and the hazards that they present. They will also gain an understanding of how to properly plan to enter a confined space, how to retrieve a fallen worker and develop working emergency response plans.

Upon completing the Basic Confined Space Pre-Entry safety training online course, participants will be able to:

• Identify the characteristics of a confined space and differentiate it from other work areas.

• Identify and mitigate physical hazards commonly found in confined spaces.
• Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for confined space entry.
• Understand the qualifications and responsibilities required for confined space activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Comply with permit requirements and understand their role in safe operations.

Competencies:

The Basic Confined Space Pre-Entry safety training course assesses participants' competencies through a comprehensive written exam. Achieving a minimum score of 70% on the exam is necessary to successfully complete the course and obtain the safety certification.

This certification, valid for three years, signifies the participant's demonstrated competence in meeting the objectives of the course.
